Boxed Card Set - My Convention Team Gifts

I always make a fun gift for my Team who attend Convention each year. This year they each received a packet of mini cards and envelopes that I made using our new
Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, new Dreamin’ paper packet, and two of the new stamp sets that come in the Art Philosophy bundle.

I also made another version of the gift box that was displayed on one of my Extravaganza art boards during my class. The one below uses the new Believe paper packet.

Here are directions using the new Art Philosophy cartridge which will be available to order on August 1st:

Stationery Box:

  1. Cut 4 boxes (box #1 on the overlay mat) at 7".
  2. Trim off the 4 curved petals on each box.
  3. Adhere the flaps of the boxes together.
  4. Adhere all 4 boxes together so that you have one large square with 4 compartments.
  5. Cut 1/2" strip of B&T and wrap around edges.
Cards:
  1. Cut 4 scallop square cards from Honey cardstock and 4 bracket shaped cards at 2-3/4" from Crystal Blue cardstock.
  2. Cut 4 scallop square borders from Crystal Blue cardstock and 4 bracket borders from Goldrush cardstock at 2-1/4".
  3. Cut 4 White Daisy scallop squares and 4 White Daisy bracket shapes at 2". These will be used to stamp your images.
  4. Stamp images in Cocoa ink from stamp sets that come in the Art Philosophy bundle.
  5. Adhere all layers together for each card.
Envelopes:
  1. Cut 8 Colonial White square envelopes at 3-1/2".
  2. Fold envelopes and adhere together.
  3. Stamp patterns in Crystal Blue and Honey ink on flaps.
Final Steps:
Place all cards and envelopes into the sectioned box and slide everything into a square clear box. Clear boxes can be purchased from clearenvelopes.com. You can either use a 6-1/8" x 5/8" x 6-1/16" box (fits perfectly) or you can use a 6-1/8" x 1" x 6-1/16" box if you'd like a little more room. You can add shredded paper, confetti, or something else to the back of the larger box to fill it up. Add a Cocoa Grosgrain ribbon bow around the middle of the box to finish it off.

Topiary using the new Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge

I had the honor of teaching a 3-D class on the new CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge at the Close to my Heart Convention last week! This is one of the projects I made for the class. I used one of the incredible 3-D flower images on the cartridge to make this topiary. I cut a bunch of flowers out at 3-1/2" and some at 4-1/2". Some of them were cut from Honey cardstock and some were cut from White Daisy cardstock. I inked the White Daisy flowers with Honey ink on the edges with a sponge dauber before I rolled them. Then I rolled each one starting from the outside going in and held them together them with some Aleen's Tacky Glue. Each flower was attached to a styrofoam ball with a pearl tipped pin.

I wrapped a wooden dowel with some floral tape and added it to the bottom of the ball. I put some more styrofoam in the bottom of the metal white container and stuck the wrapped dowel inside. A little Colonial White and Honey ribbon was added to the base of the ball to dress it up a bit.

The new CTMH Idea Book has lots of fun new Mini-Medley Assortment packs. I used the metal plate in the Honey Mini-Medley Collection on the container. It was soft enough to bend so that it would fit nicely around the curve of the container. I stamped a sentiment from the November Stamp of the Month and attached it behind the metal plate. Then I attached the plate with some Velcro so that the sentiment could be changed for different occasions.

Stay tuned for more sneak peek projects using new CTMH products!

Convention Gifts and Artwork

I am FINALLY back from my whirlwind trip and ready to share some more fun Convention photos with you. I have a little sneak peek of the artwork I created for the 3-D Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Class that I taught. I promise to post more detailed close-up photos soon. (You can click on these photos to see them larger.)

I have to share all of the amazingly wonderful gifts I received at Convention as well. Look at all of this loot! (I forgot to take a picture of the adorable personalized Mickey ears that I got at the Directors’ Dinner and the cute flower pin that Denise made for me.)

A super cute Disney journal from my 4th upline Debbie Fournier.
Just look at the cute bow on Minnie!

An adorable mini stamp set designed and signed by Jeanette herself.

A super cute notebook from my DL and roomie Vanessa Garcia.

My sweet friend Mandy Leahy gave me this awesome bag of goodies. I’d show you the contents, but I used/ate a lot of them before I could take a picture of the contents. LOL! Check out the darling flower clip she made. LOVE IT!!!

I love this super blingy (is that a word?) Mickey key necklace from my friend Bren Yule.
I got so many compliments on it at Convention. Look at the cute bag and Sticky Boy tag she made too.

My upline Denise Anderson-Turley gave me this super cool journal and...

...this cool handmade bag filled with goodies.

This adorable clip and card are from my 3rd upline Sheri Rottler.
How cute is that card and I can think of a ton of things that I want to do with the clip. *Ü*

My awesome friend, DL and roomie Christine Adams gave me this sweet wand and some candy boxes that she made for her Extravaganza class. (She taught the same class that I did! We had a ton of fun.) It was all I could do to keep this little beauty away from my 4-year old daughter when I got home. She said it was a REAL Princess wand and she really should have it. Ummm....nope!

I won a bag full of fabulous embellishment goodies at the closing crop.
If you look closely, you might find some new products in there. (wink, wink)

I cannot wait until next year’s Convention in Dallas. I think I may have to bring a separate suitcase just to bring home all of the goodies from my dear friends and team!

More Convention Photos

Wow! What an incredible week it has been! Convention is over and I am finally (somewhat) rested. I have soooo much to share. The new policies, procedures, and products are all so exciting that I can hardly stand it. While I am still at the Disneyland Hotel (my hubby and kiddos are meeting me here today for a short family vacation) I won't be able to share too much with you, but when I get home at the end of the week, I will share more.

I was privileged to be able to share my room with my downline Maria, Vanessa, and Christine. (Just look at those hotties!)

I also had 2 more downline attend this year including Noelle and Lisa. This photo was taken at the awards banquet.
I was honored and humbled to receive an award this year for Team Building. I came in 6th place for recruiting. Thank you to those who joined my team. You are all responsible for this award! xoxo

My sweet friend Christine David and me at the Awards Reception!
(This gal is the Recruiting Queen!)
Sheri Rottler is my 3rd upline and she is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet! Love ya Sheri!

I am VERY proud to share with you that my close friend and downline Christine Adams was selected to be on the Advisory Board! What an honor! They couldn't have chosen a better person! Congrats my friend!
A trip to Disney wouldn't be complete without a visit with Goofy! Christine and I were thrilled that we had the chance to see him.
I am off to get ready for my family's arrival. I'll post more when I get home at the end of the week. (Yes, I will post some artwork. I promise!)
