March Creative Club - Easter Treat Cup Cards and Pillow Boxes

March’s Creative Club will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 7pm. This month we will be making some cute Easter projects including (3) treat cup cards and (3) clear pillow boxes that you can fill with any treats you like. (Wait until you see how the treat cup cards work! They have a little tag that slides up to open the hole in the back of the cards so you can get to your treats without having to ruin the card.)

The main kit is $25 and includes:
  • Pre-cut cardstock and patterned paper to make (3) cards and (3) pillow boxes
  • (3) Treat Cups
  • (3) Clear Pillow Boxes
  • (1) Hoppy Easter stamp set
  •  60" of Seam Binding Ribbon
  • CCR (Cricut Craft Room) files of the cards so you can make more cards later if you own the Artiste Cricut Cartridge
  • Step by step instructions
(Candy and confetti paper not included)
You may add on extra supplies to make more cards/boxes for $10 per set of 3. (For example if you want to make 3 extra cards/boxes, it will be $10 extra. If you want to make 6 extra cards/boxes, it will be $20 extra, etc.)

Other supplies, not included, needed to complete the project:

You will make (3) treat cup slider cards
(click on the photos to enlarge)

Your cards will have a small hole in the back so that you can fill them with goodies, and the recipient can even reuse it if they choose. Everything will be pre-cut for you unless you request to cut them yourself. I will also email you the .ccr files so you can make more if you like.

Once the candy is gone, the recipient will see a cute stamped image and message through the clear treat cup. (Each card has a different image/message inside.)

You will also make (3) clear Pillow Boxes

...and you will learn how to make fun accordion flowers for your boxes.

ETA: Thank you for the wonderful response.
This class is now full, and all kits are sold out. Sorry.

Later Sk8r Artwork

One of my favorite new Close to my Heart Paper Collections is called Later Sk8r. It is perfect for those “boy” layouts and cards, but it is also cute to use for a more girly project.

I love this layout that the Close to my Heart Art Department created which is on page 44 of the catalog. One of the reasons I love it is because the cute little boy is my son, but I also really love the fun gears and metal accents that they used that coordinate so well with the paper. Soooo cute!

My talented friend and fellow CTMH Consultant Michelle Brooks created some fun artwork with this paper that I can’t wait to share with you. One of the things she made was this adorable pillow box using flowers to make it more feminine. Don’t you just love this project? She used the Art Philosophy and Artiste Cricut cartridges to cut the box, the flower and leaves, and the tag.

More Secret Sister Gifts

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I was honored to have TWO secret sisters on the CTMH cruise — Tina Sutton (a sweet, amazingly talented Presidential Director who loves to YOLO and snack on Peach Os candy) and Kristine Whidtfeldt (CTMH’s VP of Sales and Marketing who has more positive energy than anyone I know, LOVES Diet Coke more than life itself, and who is also as sweet as can be.)

Knowing these fun little tidbits about these great gals, you might understand a few of the gifts that I gave them...

On the first day, they each received a clipboard that I made using the new Chantilly papers, Dimensional Elements, and Textiles.

The second day I gave them each one of our new Kraft Containers. (I love these!) I altered them each very differently.

Here is what the unaltered containers look like.

Since Tina loves Peach-Os candy, I used the July stamp of the month called Sweet Life (available July 1st) to stamp the outside of her container. I embossed it with Cocoa embossing powder and colored in the images with CTMH’s alcohol markers in Sorbet, Autumn Terracotta, and Sweet Leaf. Then I filled the container with Peach-Os candies.

Since Kristine LOVES Diet Coke, I turned her container into a Diet Coke can by creating a Coke label and can top on my computer and then adhering it to the container along with some self adhesive Silver Shimmer Trim. I added a special message and a fun "nutrition facts" label as well. I filled her container with some yummy gummy Coke bottle candies.

Do you remember this Notebox project kit from last February? I created the same project for both gals using our new For Always paper.

I also gave them both some cute jammies, a necklace or key chain, a fun altered initial hook, and Tina got a pair of fun YOLO flip flops. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of those goodies.

Tina surprised me on the last night with an unexpected gift. Look at the super cute project she gave me using our new 6x6 canvas and Tommy Collection!

I forgot to post this adorable gift yesterday that my 3rd upline Sheri Rottler gave me. She decorated one of our new Large Paper Pouches with some fun papers/stamps from the Tommy Collection. It was filled with all kinds of yummy treats and a travel sized lotion. So fun!! Thanks Tina & Sherri!

Secret Sister Gifts

I have so many wonderful gifties to share with you. The projects in today’s post are gifts that were given to me by my generous CTMH Secret Sister Diana Veenendaal, my sweet friend Bren Yule, and my wonderful “up-up-up line” Debbi Fournier.

Tomorrow I will post photos of the projects that I made for my secret sisters. (Yep. I was blessed to have TWO Secret Sisters on the cruise—the talented Tina Sutton and CTMH’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Kristine Whidtfeldt.) Stop by tomorrow to see their gifts.

Diana blessed me each day on the cruise with some fabulous projects including the following:

Two beautiful Buzz & Bumble layouts

A set of adorable Buzz & Bumble cards

A ca-ute Chantilly altered pop-top can
I’m dying to know what’s inside but don't want to open it because it is so darn cute! lol

For Always card set
Each one of these cards has a super cute cut-out that I am pretty sure she created in Cricut Craft Room. (See my post below for more info on Cricut Craft Room.)

Debbi Fournier made me this cute journal using the Chantilly papers. Isn’t it pretty?

Bren gave me this BEAUTIFUL necklace that she made. I just lover her creativity!!!

Am I the luckiest girl in the world or what???? Thank you, thank you, thank you Diana, Debbi, and Bren! You made me feel very loved! xoxo

CTMH Gifts

Close to my Heart spoiled us each day on the cruise. Here are just a few of the goodies that were waiting for us in our room each evening...

A super cute damask print tote bag and jewelry roll.

An embroidered beach towel.

A pair of stylish sunglasses and a cute case.

Two pairs of CTMH flip flops — one for me and one for hubby!

A CTMH thermal cooler and drink bottle.

On the last night, there was a plate of chocolate covered strawberries and this beautiful watch waiting for us in the room! Wow!

I was overcome by Close to my Heart’s generosity! The best part about the trip though wasn’t the great food, beautiful beaches, or wonderful gifts. It was the opportunity to get to spend some quality time hanging out with old CTMH friends and making new ones. (Of course hanging out with my hubby for a week without the kiddos wasn’t too shabby either. lol)

If you would like to learn more about Close to my Heart and the possibility of joining us on our trip next year to Costa Rica, feel free to visit my New Consultant FAQs page here. I would LOVE to have you join our CTMH family. *Ü*
