Sweet Little AP Bunny Bag

I just had to share this ADORABLE little bunny bag that my friend Christine Adams made using the instructions from the incredibly talented Emmy Rackley. Christine made these cuties for her crop gals this weekend and was so kind to post the instructions on her blog. Can you believe that the entire thing was made using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge?

Hop on over to Christine’s blog to see how to make these adorable little creatures. Thanks Emmy & Christine for the great idea! I can’t wait to make them for my kiddos for Easter.

Have you fallen in love with the Art Philosophy Cricut Collection like I have? Would you like to know how to get it for FREE? Be sure to check out this post for more information.

ETA: I just found out that this project idea originally came from Tracey Sanders. Apparently it is so cute that everyone wants to make one and the original designer’s name got lost in the process. I am so sorry about that.  Thank you Tracey for designing such an adorable project! You are one talented lady! *Ü*

Journaling Ideas

I was excited to visit Jeanette Lynton’s (CTMH Founder & CEO) blog today to find a great article on journaling. As I was reading through the article, I was excited to see an adorable layout featuring photos of my daughter. Here is the layout that the Corporate Art Department made using my “baby’s” photos.

Be sure to visit Jeanette’s blog today to get some great journaling ideas.

Thank you Close to my Heart!

First I need to apologize for the lack of artwork posts lately. It’s not that I am not in full blown creative mode, (trust me, I am), it’s just that I am working on some fun secret projects that I am just dying to share with you, but can’t yet. LOL! I promise to post something fun to look at soon. *Ü*

In the meantime, I just had to share with you my fun AWESOME new purchase. Yes, I just purchased an 11" MacBook Air. I love this thing. I have been wanting something small and lightweight to take with me to my CTMH Gatherings and on CTMH trips. This is perfect. It only weighs a little more than 2 pounds and it is super fast!

I have Close to my Heart to thank for this little treasure. With the extra income that I earn from being a Consultant, I am able to buy some fun little gadgets that I would not otherwise be able to afford. Plus it is a tax write off. How cool is that?

Would you like to find out how you can earn some extra income to buy whatever is on your wish list too? This month is the PERFECT time to sign up to become a Close to my Heart Consultant. When you order the New Consultant Kit for only $99 in March, in addition to the almost $300 worth of goodies in the kit, you will also get either the Art Philosophy Cricut Collection or $100 in select product credit for FREE! That’s over $400 in CTMH products for only $99!

How-To Books available while supplies last

If you don’t have any of Close to my Heart’s How-To Books, you are missing out. These books are jam packed with awesome templates, patterns, creative ideas, and most of them even have a CD or DVD included  as well.

It was just announced that these books will be retiring at the end of the current catalog cycle, but they are only available while supplies last. Once they are sold out, they will be gone forever. (And at only $21.95 each, I guarantee they won’t last long.)

Have you ever seen a project in the Idea Book/Catalog that you loved? Did you know that most of the cards and layouts in all of the Idea Books/Catalogs are actually created using the patterns from these books? If you look closely, under each project, it will tell you which book the pattern came from and what the pattern is called. They are a great resource! There are four scrapbooking books and two card making books. I own them all and can honestly recommend each one.

You'll love the newly updated Reflections program which features (100) 12" × 12" scrapbook pages. Each layout pattern comes complete with a shaded blueprint, detailed assembly instructions, companion layout guides, photo options, and creative techniques sure to make your memories come to life.

Cherish is a beautiful hardbound book is similar to the Reflections programs with blueprints, step-by-step instructions, and photo suggestions, but it’s really in a league all of its own. It is a stand-alone publication that will look simply fabulous on a bookshelf or coffee table. It features 50 12" × 12" two-page scrapbook concepts as well as in-depth instructions for unique art techniques, accessory suggestions for every concept, detailed cutting diagrams, step-by-step assembly instructions, a thumbnail index, and all the artwork recipes.

Create your own 12" × 12" designer layouts with Jeanette Lynton’s second volume of incredible scrapbooking patterns. Packed with 50 all new, two-page patterns, complete cutting diagrams, and assembly instructions, plus inspiring techniques, Imagine™ is every scrapbooker’s best friend.

Bring magic to your scrapbook layouts using clever interactive techniques. You'll add hands-on excitement and dramatically increase your photo and journaling space using pop-ups, pull-outs, slides, cascades, and more! Magic also includes 35 gorgeous 12" x 12" layout patterns that can be used on their own or with the interactive techniques. (DVD included.)

Create beautiful handmade cards with confidence using the numerous patterns in our exquisite hardbound Originals™ program. With exact dimensions, fold placement guides, blueprints, and step-by-step instructions, every aspiring cardmaker or crafting pro will love Originals. Feast on the gorgeous, full-color artwork sprinkled throughout the pages and then make cards of your own, simply and easily, with Originals!

Bulk cardmaking, trendy circle cards, and all new patterns make Jeanette Lynton's latest hardbound, how-to cardmaking book, Wishes, a must-have for your creative library. The three bulk card "workshops" help you make 8, 12, or 16 cards in a jiffy while getting the most out of your papers and your time. The beautiful full-color artwork and creative tips and techniques offer hours of inspiration and fresh ideas.

Be sure to order your copies of these valuable books before they are gone. Feel free to order directly from my website by clicking on the link below.

Art Philosophy Princess Lucy Tag

Hi everyone. You may have noticed that I have been MIA again. I am so sorry. I have a bunch of super fun (secret) projects that I am working on that I can’t share with you just yet. In the meantime, I thought I’d share a sweet little tag I made using the new Lucy Collection, Glitter Rub-Ons and CTMH’s awesome Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.

I started out by using one of the many tag shapes from the Art Philosophy cartridge in Cricut Craft Room. I added one of the many border shapes to the bottom of the tag. (In Craft Room, you can weld images together which I think is super cool!) Then I cut out the tag from a piece of Lucy patterned cardstock. I then cut out the leaves and the flowers using another piece of Lucy cardstock using the AP cartridge as well. This time I didn’t use Craft Room since I didn’t need to weld any images together. I layered the flowers on top of each other using some 3-D Foam Tape in between each layer to give it some dimension. I added a large Sparkle to the center and adhered it to the tag. Then I cut a banner shape, also using the AP cartridge, and stamped the word “princess” on it from the Princess Wings stamp set. I added a piece of Sweet Leaf Stitched Ribbon behind it and added it to the tag.

I added one of the adorable butterflies and the border at the bottom from the Lucy Glitter Rub-Ons. Finally, I inked some of our new Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon with some Blush ink and added it to the top. (I LOVE that stuff!) This little tag is now ready to go on a gift for a little princess.

If you love the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and all of the cool things that it can do, I have a little secret for you. You can get the entire Art Philosophy Cricut Bundle for free this month! Click here for more details.
