H2H Challenge - All About Mom

I am sad to say that this is my last Heart 2 Heart Challenge as a Design Team Member. I was honored to serve with some of the most creative Consultants, that many times I was ashamed to post my humble artwork among theirs. Not only is this group of women amazingly talented, they also have some of the biggest hearts I have ever seen. I am grateful to be able to call each one of them my friends! And a special thank you goes out to Mary Vogel, the “leader of the pack,” who has been so wonderful to work with! Thanks for the opportunity Mary! Love ya tons!

The reason that I am stepping down, along with my sweet friend Corina, is because we were both chosen to teach at Close to my Heart’s Extravaganza event at Convention this summer. Having taught before, I know the demands of creative energy and time that are ahead of me as I prepare. I want to put all of my creative time into preparing for my class. I am SUPER excited about my class topic and know that you will be too. (I wish I could say more, but it is all very hush hush! LOL!) Hope to see you in Anaheim, CA at the Disneyland Hotel in July for our annual Convention!

Ok, now onto the challenge. Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and who doesn’t want to make Mom happy? This week’s challenge is to create something special for Mom. I created this card using the beautiful Wings paper packet. I also used some Chocolate Love Letter Rub-Ons for the letters. Would you believe that they are on sale for 70% off right now on my website? Be sure to order yours before they are gone.
(They are only available while supplies last!)

I also used the Stitched Together stamp set to make the flowers. I didn’t have any small brown buttons so I used some clear buttons and inked the back with some Brown StazOn ink for the flower centers.

I added a bit of real stitching around the edges of the card and on the top of the word “day.” Then I finished the card off with some Cocoa Grosgrain ribbon. Now I just need to figure out if it is going to my Mom or my sweet Mother-in-Law.

I don’t want to forget to welcome H2H’s new DT Members Jody Gustafson and Haley Dyer. They are both SUPER talented and I know you will be drooling over their artwork like I do. Also, please welcome Joelle H. who is the Guest Design Team Member and our 2 prize sponsors this month, Sharon Holmes and Angel Shifflett.

Now it’s your turn. We’d love to see what you create for Mom. Be sure to check out the other Design Team members projects and then upload yours onto the H2H Blog. Play along all month long for more chances to win some great prizes and possibly be the next Guest Design Team Member!
